In 1989, Tony and Kathy Pietoso decided to open their dream restaurant, Cafe Napoli. Getting its start in a basement in downtown Clayton, Cafe Napoli was small but offered tremendous food and top-notch service. This family-owned restaurant was known as Clayton’s hidden gem and soon began its climb to a much larger, above-ground venue. Today, the Pietosos own and operate Cafe Napoli, Napoli2, Napoli III, and the Napoli online store, offering fashionable merchandise. Menu items feature Italian-American fares, like linguine salsiccia and the Provimi veal chop house special. For an upscale experience with mouthwatering meals, quality ingredients, and fantastic service, Cafe Napoli is the place to be.

William A. Straub began his journey as the local grocer in 1901, when he would visit the community of Webster Grove collecting grocery orders on his horse and buggy. Over the years, his grocery business grew to become Straub’s, offering pickup and deliveries to Clayton, Brentwood, Richmond Heights, and Central West End neighborhoods. The Clayton store opened in 1948, providing residents with outstanding specialty foods and the highest quality community service. Straub’s is still owned and operated by fourth-generation family members carrying William’s legacy into the new century. 
 
Tony’s Restaurant is the finest Italian restaurant in St. Louis and one of the finest in the nation. Things to Do

Held in downtown Clayton, the Saint Louis Art Fair runs over two days in the fall, with each year offering a different theme. Over 150 artists showcase their unique talents every year, and the fair features live music, dozens of food vendors, and an arts and crafts center for little artists. The purpose of the fair is to inspire others to be more creative and grow in appreciation for the arts in all forms. This family-friendly event is entirely supported by the community through charitable donations and aims to give back through art education in schools and throughout the broader Clayton community.
 
The 30-acre Shaw Park is the city’s oldest and largest park. It includes a playground, soccer and football fields, tennis courts, and a pavilion and features three beautiful gardens. The park is home to the annual Parties in the Park, a community celebration with live music and food trucks. Bring the family and your blankets for a perfect summer evening at Clayton’s second-largest park, Oak Knoll. Offering free outdoor Musical Nights throughout the summer near the beautiful, lighted fountain on the pond, the park comes alive with the sounds of the summer for two hours every month.
