Every day from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Shack Breakfast & Lunch at 731 S. Lindbergh Blvd. serves breakfast and lunch. From November 27 through December 27, the same room reopens after dark as Shack the Halls, a Christmas pop-up bar the restaurant describes as "decked floor to ceiling in kitschy holiday decor," with crafted cocktails and heavy appetizers meant for sharing.
This is the second season. In 2025, Sauce Magazine called it the restaurant's inaugural Shack the Halls and listed it as a Wednesday-through-Saturday event, 5 to 10 p.m. For 2026, the Shack the Halls site says doors open at 4:30 p.m. nightly. It is closed only on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The extra evenings come with a new booking system, so what matters for planning is which reservation round your date falls in.

The price and the charity commitment are the same as last year. The schedule is what changed. On the 2026 calendar, opening night is Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, and closing night is Sunday, December 27. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings weren't on last year's schedule. This year they are.
Two reservation rounds and the gap between them
Reservations open in two rounds, each covering a set of dates.
- Round 1, opened Monday, November 2. Covers opening night, November 27, through Saturday, December 12.
- Round 2, opens Tuesday, December 1. Covers Wednesday, December 16, through closing night, December 27.
If you're reading this the week it publishes, Round 1 is already open on Resy, and the nights between the end of Thanksgiving week and mid-December are the ones taking bookings. A date in the last stretch before Christmas will have to wait for the December 1 release.
As published, the two rounds don't include Sunday, December 13, through Tuesday, December 15. The site's general policy applies to every night: walk-ins are welcome as space allows. For a group that hasn't settled on a date, those three midweek evenings and any night after a cancellation are where showing up at the door counts most.
Each Resy reservation costs $15 per person. That fee covers entry. Food and drinks are priced separately.
The menu borrows from two other restaurants in the same group
The food comes from sister restaurants. The pop-up's menu describes it as "favorite shareables from our family of restaurants, The Tavern Kitchen & Bar and The Corner Pub & Grill," served with winter cocktails. The first item listed is the Corner Pub Sliders, four mini brisket-blend burgers with sautéed onions, pickles and comeback sauce on brioche, for $15. Chicken Saltimbocca Pops are listed next.
The site's photos show the rest of the spread:
- Whipped goat cheese with fig jam and crostini
- Pretzel bites with queso
- Funnel cake fries with chocolate drizzle and holiday sprinkles
- An espresso cocktail with a gold sugar rim
- Two holiday cocktails garnished with rosemary
Several of these were also on last year's menu. St. Louis Magazine's 2025 holiday pop-up guide listed Corner Pub sliders, Tavern edamame, chicken saltimbocca pops, goat cheese and fig jam, and stuffed mushrooms. It also named two of the 2025 cocktails. The "Dasher? Barely Know Her" mixed espresso vodka, coffee liqueur, gingerbread syrup and cold brew. The "Yippee Ki-Yay" combined blanco tequila, rosemary simple syrup, lemon, pomegranate and triple sec. Mocktails were offered too. The 2026 site shows a rosemary-garnished cocktail and an espresso drink in its photos, but the full drinks list for this season hasn't been published under those names. So the 2025 cocktails show what kind of drinks to expect. They aren't a confirmed 2026 menu.
The Shack, The Tavern Kitchen & Bar and The Corner Pub & Grill are all part of OG Hospitality. St. Louis Magazine's January 2026 profile identifies Brant Baldanza as the group's leading figure and Jon Fogarty as his business partner. Because the bar draws on that whole group, a breakfast-and-lunch room on Lindbergh can serve a full evening menu without building one from scratch.
Where the $15 goes
Ticket proceeds go toward OG Hospitality's $15,000 commitment to the St. Louis County Police Department's Shop With a Cop. The program takes families in need on a holiday shopping spree of up to $500 each for toys and household essentials.
According to the site, the program started in North County and Jennings. Support from the pop-up is meant to help it expand into South County and Lemay, with a goal of helping more than 100 families in the years ahead. The longer season matters for this goal. A fixed $15 cover across 29 nights instead of four nights a week means more chances to sell entries toward the same $15,000 target. The commitment amount is the same as in 2025.
The daytime half of a Lindbergh holiday errand
The Shack opens its doors at 4:30 p.m. Before then, the holiday activity on S. Lindbergh is up the road at Plaza Frontenac.
Photos with Santa are set up at Plaza Frontenac's Neiman's Court. Walk-ups are welcome daily until closing, and the Santa booking calendar lists reservable times on November 14 starting at 11 a.m. A family could do a morning or midday Santa visit at the Plaza, and the adults could come back down Lindbergh for an evening at the Shack, all on the same short stretch of road.
The Plaza is also adding new tenants for the season.
- Noble Foods is marked "Now Open" in the mall directory. The company describes itself as a St. Louis-based smart-café concept that sells freshly prepared grab-and-go meals, and its site lists the Plaza Frontenac location at 1701 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
- Local Lime is listed as "Coming Soon." Frontenac's July 21, 2026 Board of Aldermen agenda identifies it as a new restaurant at 1707 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Its exterior improvements required a site-plan amendment. According to a Citizen Portal account of the meeting, the board approved the amendment unanimously. No opening date has been announced.
- State & Liberty, a menswear brand that makes athletic-fit clothing from performance fabric, lists its Plaza Frontenac store as "Coming Fall 2026" on its locations page. The brand hasn't given an exact opening day.
None of these Plaza additions has a firm date this season. The dates that are set are the Shack's: Round 2 opens December 1, the Round 1 window ends December 12, and the last pour is December 27. For questions, the restaurant's number is 314-736-5900.
